While I'm on the subject of bad music, listen to this...
Thanks to Tom Scharpling for both of these recommendations (I cannot recommend his radio enough, seriously).
One more thing. This is just a taste of what Animal Collective videos look like. And to think I once wanted to go to art school...

Harsh! Animal Collective is more of an acquired taste... I used to hate them until I sat down to listen with Strawberry Jam when it came out with some friends. I finally understood what the hype was all about. Infectious vocal melodies and just great foot tapping music!
I used to have a recipe book that had a recipe for porcupine pie. You couldn't pay me enough to eat it, so I gave the book to my dad.

I discovered if you have "The Eagles" in your Pandora custom station- they try to play that HORRIBLE Jackson Browne song all the f***ing time! I wanna scream "Have some self-respect, Pandora!"
Thank god for SOMEONE finally speaking truth-to-power re: the teeth-gnashing music of Animal Collective. Their songs truly make me want to go on a homicidal rampage through a supermarket with a samurai sword. As usual, thank you, EIT, for not letting me suffer alone.
Couldn't disagree more on the Jackson Browne song. It helps to be in the industry he's singing about, but is far from necessary.
Read about the website in Wired and thought I check it out. Hilarious! But this post stands out as a little incongrous. Yes the porcupine song is stupid-embarassing and funny all at once, but the Jackson Browne song?
I realize that there's all kinds of tastes in music amd he isn't a favourite of mine, but where the joke? Nice original, nice cover and awesome musicianship.
The irony must be that someone actually thinks this is the worst song ever recorded. Not even close.
PS The concept would be interesting. The worst song ever written: discuss. My pick: I'm Going to Spain by Steve Bent.

The Fall make it work, though, so any song is salvageable in the right hands.
